Storm Drain Naming Contest

Let’s keep our little corner of the community healthy.

We’ve decided to officially adopt the 4 storm drains that surround our corner of the block!

Keeping storm drains clean prevents flooding by allowing water to flow properly; protects water quality by keeping pollutants out of local waterways; safeguards infrastructure from water damage and erosion; and, ultimately, protects all wildlife (including us humans!). 

Starting now through December 31st, we’ll be accepting recommendations for fun names for our storm drains! At the new year, we’ll let our staff vote on the winners and will announce them via our e-news bulletin, the DOSE, and on social media.

Winners will receive a $25 gift card to SPCD and the opportunity to be featured on our social media accounts and the TV above our checkout counter (if they want—no pressure if you don’t!). 

Complete this brief Google Form to submit a storm drain name recommendation, which you can do as many times as you wish (please complete a new form for each entry, which will help us with how the data is collected in our backend). Please also make sure to include a phone number and/or email address so that we can notify you if your name is chosen!
