We’re passing along notice of an event tomorrow on behalf of our friends from ISAIAH! They are looking for folks to attend a rally re: the hospital acquisitions by out-of-state entities that we mentioned in our last edition of the DOSE. This is a non-partisan issue that impacts ALL of us. WHEN: Thursday, September 24 from 10:00-11:30am WHERE: Near Powderhorn Park in south Minneapolis WHAT: Out-of-state Sutter Health is moving forward with its acquisition of Minnesota-based Allina Health. This deal could reshape where we get care, what it costs, and who makes decisions about the hospitals and clinics millions of Minnesotans depend on. We have not gotten any official commitments from Allina or Sutter Health about how this merger will benefit Minnesotans and protect us from rising healthcare costs. We have just weeks until a decision is made about this merger, so our action is very timely!
