John Hoeschen

Rph – Owner/Pharmacist

I strive to provide the best pharmacy serves available in St. Paul. Going the extra mile to make certain all my patients needs are met to their satisfaction is a high priority of mine. While my primary focus is on the drug therapy of my patients, I try to address other concerns they may have regarding nutrition, daily living aids, financial stresses, access to services, mobility, and other areas of their life. I understand these factors all play a role in determining their overall health condition and quality of life. It is my pleasure to help relieve some of the burden that exists when you are out of health by offering helpful advice and products that can make the situation much better.

I am a 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and have been practicing community pharmacy at this location since then. I purchased the pharmacy in 1997 and continued to grow the business by adding technology components that relieved some of the manual burden of filling prescriptions so that I could spend more time with patients – solving problems.

I served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Pharmacists Association for 13 years. I received the 1996 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award from the Minnesota Pharmacists Association and the 2011 Bowl of Hygeia Community Service Award for the State of Minnesota, considered to be the top honor of the pharmacy profession. I have enjoyed every minute of my career and hope to continue in this role for years to come.

I am married and have 4 children. Living just 2 blocks from the pharmacy since 1992, I am deeply rooted in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood of St. Paul. I volunteer with several youth sports programs, help neighbors and friends with small construction projects, make ice all winter at The Rinks at Groveland hockey and recreational skating facility on St. Clair Avenue. Having grown up on a dairy farm, I enjoy the outdoors with sports, hunting, fishing, or just strolling through the woods. I am proud to be part of this wonderful community and institution.
