St. Paul Corner Drug, a 90 year old drug store on the corner of Snelling and St. Clair Avenues is seeking a highly self-motivated, energetic individual to serve as a Pharmacy Technician. The position is FT and will include: assisting the pharmacist, entering, billing, and filling prescriptions as well as assisting customers at the counter. Other duties will include managing and inventorying pharmaceuticals and various supplies; cleaning, stocking and organizing when needed ~ essentially, handling whatever needs doing; making the one requisite characteristic we are looking for in an applicant is that they are a team player.
Previous experience working in a pharmacy or technician certification is not required, but would be helpful. We are a community/patient oriented independent pharmacy and employees must be able to communicate and interact well with fellow employees and the public. They must also have an inherent desire to develop a career in healthcare and assist patients in their everyday life with health related issues in a pharmacy setting. Organization skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and efficiency are necessary skills for success in this position. The pharmacy is open retail hours, 6 days a week and shifts will vary, including some nights and Saturdays.
